“Get ready to dive into the world of sunken wrecks!

For European Heritage Days, in front of the Beaulieu Plaisance harbour master’s office, from Friday 19 September to Monday 22 September, I will be presenting our latest archaeological discoveries through a series of photographs.

These rare images reflect the scientific studies carried out by Anao archaeologists, an underwater adventure!

A selection of images that trace several centuries of our maritime history and the remains of those seafaring civilisations that came to our shores to drop anchor with their mighty ships.

Under the water, traces of these intrepid travellers are unearthed from beneath the sand and silt during official underwater excavations.

This allows us to discover, without getting wet, all the work accomplished since 1991 by these adventurers in the service of preserving our cultural, maritime, heritage and, above all, archaeological heritage.
