We would like to inform you that, from the 10th of January 2026, a mandatory registration system for recreational sea anglers and a reporting of certain catches via the RecFishing app will be implemented at national level:

• Prior registration on the app is mandatory for recreational fishermen targeting the following species in Mediterranean Sea: red sea bream, dolphinfish and bluefin tuna.
• Catch reporting of each of these sensitive species must be made on the app on the same day, during or after each trip, including for no-kill practices.

• Gain a better understanding of fishing practices and the state of resources.
• Fight against illegal practices.
• Ensure sustainable recreational fishing.
• Preserve marine fishing resources.
• Protect marine species and environments.
