Dear boaters,
As part of our ‘Clean Ports’ certification, various facilities have been set to promote the development of local biodiversity.
The main cause of biodiversity loss is the fragmentation of natural habitats due to urbanisation.
The Port of Beaulieu Plaisance is committed to participing to the reconnexion of environments by planting local trees and shrubs suited to the Mediterranean climate.
Shelters designed to protect animal species have also been created.
The Port of Beaulieu Plaisance is pleased to inform you that it now features:
- bird nesting boxes for known species
- insect hotels sheltering a multitude of insects and promoting pollination
- hibernaculum used as a shelter for reptiles, small mammals and amphibians
- ecological corridors and wild hedges
- ‘Zero Phyto’ signs indicating the Port’s commitment not to use anymore phytosanitary products in the maintenance of green spaces.
We invite you to discover photographs of various installations above.
Together, let’s continue to preserve the environment!
Best regards,
THE PORT OFFICE OF BEAULIEU PLAISANCE
