Dear boaters,

🌈 The Port of beaulieu Plaisance organised a World Cleanup Day event on Saturday 20 September 2025 from 9.30am to 12.30pm at the marina and Petite Afrique beach!

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our partners: the Town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Nice Métropole Côte d’Azur, Natura 2000 , the CDMM (Centre Découverte Mer et Montagne), Paddle Cleaner, Breathe & Rebreathe, un Océan de Vie, Edmond de Rothschild Bank, and the restaurants Baia Bella and La Javanaise! 🌍🐬🐳🐟🐠🧺🧹🙂

Many thanks also to the boaters and visitors who contributed to this wonderful show of solidarity!

Around a hundred volunteers came to collect 59 kg of waste on land and 15 litres of cigarette butts (i.e. 9,000 butts).

Most of the waste collected was single-use plastic, microplastics and cigarette butts ☹.

⚠ A single cigarette butt can pollute up to 500 litres of water! 🚭
