Discover the pictures of the exhibition ‘Marine Biodiversity on the French Riviera’ at the Port of Beaulieu Plaisance!

Dear boaters,

As part of European Heritage Days, the Port of Beaulieu Plaisance organised the exhibition ‘Marine Biodiversity on the French Riviera’ on Friday 18 September in collaboration with the Maison de l’Environnement in Nice (Environment Center of Nice). 😊

Pupils from the Lou Nistou and Marinoni schools in Beaulieu-sur-Mer discovered the numerous aspects of our marine biodiversity, local species and the dangers of pollution.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to:

✔ The Naturdive association and Les Aquanautes, creators of this magnificent exhibition!

✔ Ms Nathalie Queyron (from the Nice Environment Center) and Mr Stéphane Emsellem (Deputy Mayor for the Environment, Biodiversity and Eco-citizenship for the Town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer), for leading the activities and raising awareness amongst the young visitors about environmental protection 😊

🌍 Let’s continue to work together to preserve our marine heritage!

World Clean-up Day 2026! A big thanks to everyone who took part 🙂

Dear boaters,

🌈 Beaulieu Plaisance Marina organised the ‘World Cleanup Day’ event on Saturday 19 September 2026 from 9.30 am to 12 noon at the marina and Petite Afrique beach!

A big thanks to all our partners: the Town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, the restaurants Baia Bella and La Javanaise, Natura 2000, Breathe & Rebreathe, Un Océan de Vie, the Edmond de Rothschild Bank of Monaco, the Ibis Styles Hotel, La Réserve de Beaulieu, Anao, L’Aventure Sous-Marine, and Tidy Park Limited! 🌍🐠🧺🧹🙂

🙏 Thank you also to the boaters and visitors who contributed to this wonderful moment of solidarity!

Many volunteers came and collected litter on land.

Single-use plastic, microplastics and cigarette ends made up the majority of items collected ☹

⚠ Let’s remain vigilant: a single cigarette end can pollute up to 500 litres of water! 🚭

🎉 Free entry

✨ A selection of 30 artists to discover, unique works of art and, above all, the chance to meet people, all set in exceptional surroundings!

Lovers of contemporary art and design, do come along! 😊

The exhibition will be officially opened on Thursday 17 September at 5.30 pm by Mr Roger Roux, Mayor of Beaulieu-sur-Mer.

The Port of Beaulieu Plaisance is organising a big clean-up operation of Petite Afrique Beach and the Port, in collaboration with the Town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Natura 2000, the Baia Bella and La Javanaise restaurants,  Breathe & Rebreathe, Un Océan de Vie, the Edmond de Rothschild bank of Monaco, Tidy Park Limited et Anao, L’Aventure sous-marine ! 🙂

📢 Come along to the European Heritage Days at Beaulieu Plaisance Marina! 😊

🐬 The Marina is organising the exhibition ‘Marine Biodiversity on the French Riviera’ in collaboration with the Maison de l’Environnement in Nice and the Town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer.

This magnificent exhibition, created by Naturdive and Les Aquanautes, will put the spotlight on our marine heritage!

It reveals three years’ work by scientists, academics, organisations and marine enthusiasts, which has culminated in the creation of an atlas.

The mosaic of habitats rich in nursery grounds, the importance of the Posidonia seagrass beds, and the great fragility of these ecosystems will also be highlighted.

Young and old alike, do come along:

This event is open to everyone!

Pupils from the ‘Lou Nistou’ and ‘Marinoni’ schools from Beaulieu-sur-Mer will also be attending.

Stand on marine environmental protection at the Port Office!

Dear boaters,

The Natura 2000 eco-guards ran an information stand on marine environmental protection, Friday 7 August 2026. 😊

🐬 Boaters and visitors were invited to learn about good practices at sea and the marine biodiversity of the Pelagos Sanctuary!

Dear boaters,

In honor of the 25th anniversary of UPACA (Union des Ports de Plaisance Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur et Monaco), Roger Roux presented these two trophies “Clean Ports” and “Clean Ports Active in Biodiversity” at the Port of Beaulieu Plaisance.

A recognition that values an ambitious policy for the preservation of the marine environment and the sustainable management of port activities.

We are pleased to inform you that the Port has renewed this double certification following the audit carried out by AFNOR on 15 July.

📍 We invite you to place a toy in the wooden chest located at the Harbour Office.
❤️ A simple toy can brighten a hospitalized child’s day.

Dear boaters and visitors,

🐙 The octopus disappears in the Mediterranean Sea, let’s be vigilant!

⚠ Essential to the balance of marine ecosystems, it is urgent to protect it.

This endangered species is even more sensitive during the breeding season (from 1 June to 30 September) because it reproduces in shallow waters, right in the middle of the tourist period.

As a result, the Port of Beaulieu Plaisance has created an octopus shelter (see photo below).

📢 Let’s not fish endangered species.

🌍 Let’s all preserve the biodiversity of our coastline together! 😊

“Café Ponton” with “Donia”, “Recyclage Sans Frontière” and its plastic recycling machine !

☕ The first “Café Ponton” of the season took place successfully on the terrace of the Port office.🥳

This Friday, July 10, 2026, boaters and professionals met for a good breakfast!

🌎 During this event, they were made aware of environmental protection through:

🌱 “Andromède Océanologie” and the “Donia” app aimed at properly anchoring while preserving posidonia seagrass beds (https://donia.fr/).

🚮 The “I Sail, I Sort” program with the distribution of portable ashtrays and reusable bags for recycling waste on board and sorting it at the dock (https://www.gestespropres.com/article/17-je-navigue-je-trie).

♻ “Recyclage Sans Frontière” and its machine for turning plastic caps into goodies (http://.rs-asso.fr/).

🎁 So, each boater left the Café Ponton with a small souvenir: his key ring that he created himself in the form of turtle, dolphin, etc. 🐬!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Thank you to all the participants and see you soon for another moment of conviviality! 😊
