Hello everyone!

The NCA Metropole and the Port of Beaulieu Plaisance would like to thank all those who took part in the underwater clean-up operation on 21 March 2026 for their time and their fantastic work to protect environment!!! 😃

We would like to send a special thank you to the associations “Bleu Gorgone”, “Anao, l’aventure sous-marine!”, “Un Océan de Vie”, “Association de plongée d’Antibes”, “Fonds Bleus”, “Paddle Cleaner”, “Nice Plogging”, “Azur Oxalis”, the companies “Breathe & Rebreathe”, the shipyard “Monaco Marine”, the Vannini family from “Baia Bella” restaurant, as well as the boaters and visitors.

This year, the clean-up operation took place on the Vieux Port area:

In one hour, the 78 participants collected nearly 3,520 litres of waste.

• 19.89% Plastic
• 11.36% Rubber (tyres, etc.)
• 2.84% Engineered wood
• 28.41% Textiles
• 0.57% Paper/Cardboard
• 7.10% Metal
• 1.42% Glass/Ceramics
• 28.41% Unclassified waste
The main items found were: carpets/doormats, tarpaulins, rags, boathooks, bottles and tyres > Let’s all be vigilant!

Let’s be aware: 80% of waste comes from land-based activities.
This reminds us how important it is to remain vigilant and look after the well-being of our Mediterranean Sea.
