Visit of the boat Cassiopea in our Port !

Dear boaters,

⛵ The sailing boat Cassiopea came from Sicily to the Port of Beaulieu Plaisance from June 9 to 14, 2025, as part of the UNOC!

A big thanks to Carmelo Isgro, biologist and founder of the Museum of the Sea in Milazzo, who came to raise awareness among young children by turning them into “scientists for a day”!

The little Berlugans discovered the research equipment on board:

  • the hydrophone used to hear “the voice” of cetaceans and noise pollution
  • the microscope and the stereoscope in order to observe seawater with plankton and microplastics

🌍  A big thanks to the ecoguards from Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur who were present at the Port Office on Friday 9th of August 2024 ! 🙂

👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 They hold a stand to inform our boaters and visitors and show them how to protect our Mediterranean Sea giving them good practice to follow for the well-being of our Blue planet!

🐋 Together, let’s live and respect the sea every day life!

Intervention of the Environmental Police and of the ecoguards from Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur

Dear boaters,

On Thursday 30th of July 2024, the ecoguards from Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur and the operator from the “Natura 2000 Cap Ferrat” Site intervened offshore! 🙂

Two agents from the French Biodiversity Agency (OFB) ‘s  Environmental Police were also present.

During their patrol inside the Natura 2000 site, they realized 18 interventions among boaters including :

  • ⛵ They raised 15 boats’ awareness
  • 🤿 2 exchanges with professionnals : Scuba diving and free diving clubs
  • ❌7  identified infractions (speeding ; anchorages in a regulated area)

A nice operation carried out by the French Biodiversity Agency (OFB) and Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur!
